زایمان سزارین یک عمل جراحی متداول در زنان در سراسر جهان است. با این حال، روش بهینه بخیه زدن رحم پس از زایمان سزارین همچنان موضوع مورد بحث است. این مرور سیستماتیک با هدف ارزیابی تکنیک‌های مختلف بخیه زدن رحم و مزایا و معایب آنها انجام شده است. این مرور، 9 مطالعه را تجزیه و تحلیل کرد که کارایی و نتایج تکنیک‌های مختلف بخیه را بررسی می‌کردند. این بررسی 9 تکنیک مختلف بخیه زدن (سوچرینگ) رحم را شرح می‌دهد، از جمله بخیه تک‌لایه (Single-Layer Closure)، بخیه دولایه (Double-Layer Closure)، بخیه دولایه با یک لایه به هم پیوسته (Two-Layer Closure with an Interlocking Layer)، بخیه معکوس-U (Inverted-U Closure)، تعلیق رباط رحمی-خاجی (Uterosacral Ligament Suspension)، بخیه تک لایه با لمبرت یا کوک کوشینگ معکوس (Single-Layer Closure with Inverting Lembert or Cushing Stitch)، بخیه دولایه با نخ بخیه جداگانه (Two-Layer Closure with Separate Suture Materials)، تکنیک بخیه قفلی (Locking Stitch Technique)، بخیه خاردار پیوسته (Continuous Barbed Suture). هر تکنیک دارای مزایا و معایبی از نظر سهولت استفاده، هموستاز، جلوگیری از باز شدن اسکار و عوارض بعد از عمل است. این بررسی همچنین بر نیاز به تحقیق بیشتر و توسعه تکنیک‌های بخیه‌زنی جدید برای بهبود نتایج زایمان سزارین تاکید می‌کند. به عبارت دیگر، ما معتقدیم به رویکردها و پیشرفت‌های نوآورانه در تکنیک‌های بخیه‌زنی برای افزایش ایمنی و اثربخشی زایمان سزارین نیاز است.
