Abstract:   (115 Views)
Intelligence is one of the most discussed topics in psychology. Although contemporary definitions of intelligence vary considerably, experts generally agree that intelligence includes mental abilities such as logic, reasoning, problem solving, and planning. Intelligence is a complex component that is created at the time of conception and continues to develop and grow throughout a person's life. Therefore, understanding the factor's affecting intelligence has always been one of the most important concerns of humans in the field of physical and mental health. This article, by reviewing the latest research conducted on the factors affecting intelligence, especially in childhood, has tried to introduce some of these factors. Most of the emphasis of researchers in recent years has been on aspects of fluid intelligence. With a brief look at the studies reviewed in this article, it can be stated that various aspects of multiple intelligence such as empathy, which is a dimension of emotional intelligence, are of interest in today's world and emphasis should be placed on strengthening and developing all dimensions of intelligence. Given the expansion of human communication in today's world, the emphasis of those who think in the field of intelligence is no longer on the IQ that can be calculated by an individual alone, as in the past, and other dimensions of intelligence such as social intelligence, personality intelligence, interpersonal intelligence, verbal-linguistic intelligence, etc. are equally or even more important.
